Roy Woods Doesn’t Want to be loved in Post V-Day Official Video for his single “Don’t Love Me”

OVO Sound signee Roy Woods didn’t want to be loved this Valentine’s day with the release of his latest single  “Don’t Love Me.”

In a refreshing break from the usual love ballad centered on romance, the R&B singer delivers a modern-day spin on love and all its complexities as he offers his girl the world, but doesn’t want her love in return.

There’s something smooth, catchy, and oh-so relatable about “Don’t Love Me”.

Woods’ YouTube fans are absolutely in love with “Don’t Love Me” as a few commented on the single writing, Absolute banger!” “Roy’s definitely in my “Top-5 R’n’B Artist List”, got Exis and Waking At Dawn on vinyl, looking forward to buying a vinyl of his new album️? the track’s a banger off tops,” “Roy is dope, an awesome R&B inspiration.”

In the video, Woods showers his girl with all of the finer things life has to offer, but he struggles with mixed emotions about the relationship giving rise to the lyrics “Know I’m on my bullsh*t, shawty (Mm-hmm)/But girl, I tried to tell you not to love me (Girl, I tried to tell you not to love me)/She look me in my eye and say that she still want it (Want it)/But I broke every other girls’ heart that said that they love me/Please, don’t love me…”  Woods leaves his lover totally confused.

The Ontario native latest release follows a successful trajectory of singles such as his latest track “Luces” ft Fuego and Polima West Coast, “Bad Bad” and “Insecure.”
