Maxo Kream Says He Wasn’t Eluding Police After Arrest Report: ‘My Lambo Just a Lil Fast’
Maxo Kream would like to set the record straight.
Maxo posted a screenshot of the TMZ article reporting his arrest in Texas on Instagram, denying he was “eluding” police prior to being detained. “I wasn’t ‘ELUDING’ my Lambo just a lil fast 🤔 but na no more jail,” he commented.
According to TMZ Hip Hop, the Houston native was stopped by authorities due to expired license plates. When the officer exited their vehicle, Maxo allegedly drove away.
TMZ Hip Hop reports a chase never took place because Maxo pulled over again when police pursued him. He was reportedly pulled over on June 27 because license plates had expired and needed to be renewed in May.
Maxo was charged with unlawful carrying of guns by a registered gang member after two firearms were found in his car. He was also charged with a misdemeanor charger of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer.
“Maxo did not flee from the police, he compiled with the commands of the arresting officer,” his attorney Carl A. Moore told TMZ Hip Hop. “We plan to fight these accusations in court.”
He is scheduled to appear in court on July 7.
