Max B Announces Post-Prison Club Tour: ‘Silver Surfer in the Flesh’
Max B has announced that he’ll be having several post-prison welcome back celebrations before the year is up.
On Friday (October 10), Max Biggavelli’s social media accounts posted that the rapper will embark on a seven-date tour beginning November 9 at select clubs on the East Coast including locations in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The club appearances will end just before Christmas with a final show on December 13 in Trenton, New Jersey. A countdown on Max B’s website currently shows that there are 28 days until the Dipset affiliate comes home.
Last month, it was reported that the Harlem artist will be released from prison on November 9 after spending 20 years behind bars. In 2009, the rapper, real name Charly Wingate, was sentenced to 75 years for felony murder and armed robbery stemming from a 2006 shooting and robbery in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
An Instagram account for Max B previously posted “The Wave touches down November 9” alongside a letter from the New Jersey State Parole Board and a post reading that the rapper’s return will be “personal.”
Celebrities who are certain to welcome Max B back with open arms are Karl-Anthony Towns and Jim Jones, the latter of whom Biggavelli squashed his decades-long beef with during a July episode of Drink Champs.
“Listen, Jim said a bunch of hard shit about me. So, we all say hard shit about each other, okay?” she said. “Jim done wished me dead, all type of shit. It’s all good. Listen, man. It’s love, man. I want to start over. I’m a new man. I’m a married man. I got four kids.”
He added: “Like, I’m on a whole different time right now, my n***a I’m out here to get my money and ride out the sunset with this shit. It’s in there for me, though. I’m going tell you that. So that’s the goal.”
