Lonzo Ball Reacts to Songwriting Credit on LiAngelo’s “Tweaker” Track

Lonzo Ball has addressed the songwriting credit on his brother LiAngelo‘s viral track “Tweaker.”

“Only credit I deserve is the cover art lol G really that,” Lonzo wrote, along with the hashtag #YearofG.

Lonzo has been steadily supporting his brother LiAngelo, 26, who goes by the name G3, on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. The oldest Ball brother declared on Sunday that LiAngelo would be delivering fire music in 2025, making it the “Year of G.”

“Tweaker” has taken the sports world by storm with several teams playing the song in the locker room, including Lonzo’s team, the Chicago Bulls.

The song was even played during Donovan Mitchell’s postgame interview when the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Dallas Mavericks. “The fact that you know the words … the song just came out,” Mitchell can be heard saying in the clip. “Shoutout to LiAngelo Ball, I guess.”

Lonzo also promised we will hear more music from G3.

LiAngelo, unlike his brothers LaMelo and Lonzo, was unsuccessful in making a career in the NBA stick. He was briefly signed to a training camp deal by the Detroit Pistons in 2020 but was waived before the start of the 2020–21 season.

When asked about playing alongside his brothers during an interview with Angel Reese on her podcast last month, LiAngelo explained that he still has hope for a career in the NBA.
