LiAngelo Ball’s Viral Hit “Tweaker” Reportedly Earns Nearly $640,000 Since Its Release

LiAngelo Ball’s viral song “Tweaker” has him swerving and bending the corner to the bank since it’s reportedly made nearly $640,000 since its release.

Billboard reports that Gelo’s debut song has been extraordinarily successful, partly driven by the release of the remix with Lil Wayne. It reportedly has more than 90 million total on-demand streams so far.

This massive amount of streams has reportedly helped it generate $476,500 from master recording rights. From publishing, it made $161,500, for a total of $638,000.

Releasing “Tweaker” has changed Gelo’s life. Back in January, Ball was announced as an upcoming performer at Rolling Loud LA, joining the likes of ASAP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Sexyy Red, Quavo, and Ken Carson.

That same month, he also inked a deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group for a reported $13 million — with an $8 million guarantee, that also grants him full ownership of his masters.

When speaking to Complex’s Speedy Morman about his label situation, Gelo explained how he chose the perfect one for him. “They all reached out for real, but I don’t know,” he said. “Me and my team got together and we had long talks with the labels for real. We took some meetings.”

“I’m just going with what’s sounding the best to me at the end of the day,” Gelo continued. “We talking to them like, man to man, like, ‘We need this, this, this,’ and that’s what they got done for us. And they showed love too, bro.”

When asked if his net worth was $800,000, Gelo joked that that figure is probably very old. “I think that’s not updated. That might be my high school net worth,” he said. “I don’t know. I had whips though. You know, used to wash a couple whips up, cut some hair. You know that money come in, bro.”

The news of his monetary success comes after his brother, Lonzo Ball, shared a teaser on Tuesday of what appeared to be Gelo cooking up his second single with the help of GloRilla. ‘”Coming soon!” he wrote alongside “#canyoupleaseeeeee.”
