Jim Jones Says We Need to Take Back The (American) Flag (Video)
Jim Jones recently spoke with Justin Hunte regarding the state of America, his recent release “The People,” and about what the American flag represents regarding Dipset. See the excerpt below.
Jim Jones: I feel that, too. Let’s not get it confused. We are American citizens. We made the USA. We built this shit with our bare hands. We have a right to that flag probably more than anybody else. The [Native Americans] may have a big argument with us about that. I’m not a history teacher, but I know they took our people from a place where we were comfortable and thriving to a brand new place they made us build with our bare hands. Of course we have all rights to bear that flag just like we have the right to bear arms and a lot of other things that the Constitution says. As a black person, I’m proud to wear the flag as many times as I can. I have numerous amounts of drip with the American flag on them because I’m from America and I’m proud to say that. I love my roots. My mother is from Aruba. My father is from Puerto Rico. Those are my roots. But who I am, the citizen I am, where I was born is the US of A, the United States of America.
