Alternative duo PEAKS! drops anthemic yet subdued alt-rock offering “Turin”

Alternative duo PEAKS! drop anthemic offering “Turin,” a groovy slow-build track that moves effortlessly towards an energetic crescendo led by a powerful soundscape swirling with psychedelic influences. Drawing its name from the city the band has made their home, the track swerves away from their signature alt-rock style, infusing a downtempo vibe into an otherwise explosive energy.

With a subdued presentation, built around a soft acoustic opening, the infectious offering brings together a winning combination of sing-along indie rock and potent alt-rock in a sound that shines with versatility. Framed by the edge of soothing vocals and the picturesque nature of the city that inspired the track, “Turin,” is powered by the band’s willingness to experiment.

Moving quickly from smooth chorus into a visceral hook, the track is a delicately distorted production that showcases the duo’s ability to fuse different musical styles for a cohesive yet complex cut of alt-rock. The accompanying visuals which showcases the inner city skate culture in Turin, elevates the ebb and flow of the instrumentals, taking us on a sonic and narrative journey that hypnotises us.

Following the success of previous releases, “Blackout,” and “Fired Up,” PEAKS! who only made their debut last year have been quickly establishing themselves as a rising act in the alt-rock scene in UK and beyond. Setting the standards of their artistry higher with each offering, this new single is a milestone that establishes PEAKS! as a rising act in the alt-rock scene in UK and beyond.
