Diddy’s Ex Misa Hylton Appears to Show Her Support, Reflects on the Creation of Bad Boy Records: ‘Were You Not Entertained’

Not only did Hylton encourage Diddy, but assured the now-54-year-old that he “was a mastermind.”

“He just had to do exactly what he had been doing successfully at Uptown Records. Just for himself now,” she said.

Hylton detailed how Bad Boy Records “started in our basement in Scarsdale, NY,” with Mack’s “Flava in Ya Ear” as the label’s first breakout hit after being played by Funk Flex.

“It’s Bad Boyyyyyyy,” Hylton wrote. “My Life Story. My experience. Beside every Bad Boy was a Bad gyal!”

She then urges followers not to “come here with any negativity” but to “try praying for everyone involved,” adding, “You cannot erase history and cultural impact.” Hylton continues to assert the “legacy” of Bad Boy Records and its contentious founder, at a time when Combs currently faces a federal sex trafficking investigation.

“This is also OUR legacy. EVERY single person whose blood, sweat, tears, talent and business acumen went into this movement. WERE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED WERE YOU NOT INSPIRED??!” she exlaimed.

Hylton concluded the post by clarifying that she turned 20 seven days after Justin’s birth, potentially in an attempt to throw the accusations against Diddy into question.

“For a while the internet had my age wrong. I said hey leave it Stop believing everything on the internet,” she wrote.

In response to the post, many considered Hylton’s statement offensive and confusing, especially considering just months ago she wrote about being “heartbroken” for singer and model Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura, who was abused by Diddy.

“I am heartbroken that Cassie must relive the horror of her abuse, and my heart goes out to her. I know exactly how she feels, and through my empathy, it has triggered my own trauma,” Hylton wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post.

The 2016 video of Diddy attacking Ventura in a hotel could be evidence in the ongoing federal investigation against him, as a federal grand jury in New York is now pursuing a criminal case. Since last November, Diddy has been accused of multiple cases of sex trafficking and sexual assault.
