50 Cent’s Diddy Docuseries Will Arrive on Netflix: ‘It Is a Complex Narrative Spanning Decades’

More details on 50 Cent’s Netflix documentary covering the allegations made against Sean “Diddy” Combs have been announced.

The docuseries, which is currently under production, will be produced by Netflix and directed by Alexandria Stapleton, Variety reports.

Fifty, born Curtis Jackson, will serve as executive producer on the project through his G-Unit Film & Television company. Stapleton will also carry an executive producer credit through her House of Nonfiction banner.

“This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far,” Fifty and Stapleton said in a joint statement to the publication.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

The 49-year-old had been teasing a so-called “Surviving Diddy” documentary since last November, as a nod to the bombshell Surviving R. Kelly series that aired in 2019. The following month, Fifty announced that proceeds of the Diddy documentary would go to victims of sexual assault.

In May, the Get Rich Or Die Trying rapper shared to his Instagram account that Netflix won the bidding war for the docuseries, adding, “but if more victims keep coming out 🤷🏽‍♂️I’m gonna need more episodes.”

On Tuesday, a woman named Thalia Graves became the latest person to come forward with a lawsuit against the Bad Boy Records founder, alleging that he and a bodyguard drugged and sexually assaulted her in 2001.

Diddy’s recent string of sexual assault lawsuits began last November when he was sued by ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who accused him of raping and abusing her throughout their relationship.

Earlier this month, Investigation Discovery announced that they would be partnering with Maxine Productions for their own Diddy docuseries. Set to air in 2025, the docuseries will reportedly feature conversations with individuals who have alleged Diddy abused them. Another film titled TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy also premiered in April.

An official title and premiere date for the 50 Cent-backed Netflix documentary on Diddy has not been announced.
