5 Limited Edition 7” Vinyl Records From the Past Year You Can Buy Right Now

Seven-inch vinyls are having a moment in 2025. The descendants of the dusty 45 records that were the original singles, 7” records were also a key component of DIY punk culture, and now the format has come full circle, with many of the biggest artists in the world dropping limited edition releases with vinyl in a rainbow of colors.

Here are five must-have limited edition 7” Vinyls released in the past year.

Even if “Anxiety” isn’t the best song of the year (and despite the fact that it was originally released in 2019 and it’s not even May, it just might be), it’s got the most meta backstory of 2025: originally recorded by a struggling singer-rapper-songwriter six years ago, now re-recorded and re-released after said artist wins a Grammy and suddenly becomes a worldwide name, “Anxiety” is a reflection on the titular emotion from both sides of the coin of success.

If that sounds a little overwrought, you wouldn’t be wrong, so just go cop this limited edition silver vinyl 7” and remember the year when Doechii ruled the world.

The reigning holder of “Rap’s Most Endearing Accent” title, GloRilla’s undeniable energy and appeal have earned the Memphis MC a legion of fans over the past half decade. If you had to pick just two songs to play you could do worse than this double A-side, red vinyl 7” single featuring her ode to (more like demand for) oral sex and joyful collab with Cardi B.

“Dark Thoughts” is the first single off Lil Tecca’s forthcoming album Dopamine. The song features a Neptunes’-inspired beat that simultaneously recalls 2002 while marking an early entrant to the Song of the Summer 2025 contest. This limited edition black vinyl features a full instrumental on the B side. Pick it up here and spin until the leaves fall off.

“Messy” is the song that brought Lola Young worldwide acclaim last year. It’s a raw anthem celebrating the highs and lows of a passionate life. “Messy” could also describe how your apartment would look if you only listened to music on 7” vinyl and maybe weren’t always super assiduous about putting away your records. These limited edition red vinyl 7”s are individually pressed, giving each product a unique coloring.

“Go Again” is BNYX®’s debut single under his own name, but just the latest in his long-running collaboration with Yeat—this time featuring a super heavy and super moody sample from grungegaze band Superheaven. This limited edition 7” is pressed on Coke Bottle vinyl.
