Dank Demoss Shares Proof She Can Fit in an SUV Following Lyft Size Discrimination Lawsuit
Dank Demoss has proven she can fit inside an SUV amid her lawsuit against Lyft, claiming one of the drivers wouldn’t pick her up because of her weight.
On Friday, Demoss shared a collaboration post on Instagram with the 24th and Lapeer car dealership, showing her getting into an SUV with ease. Demoss has made headlines for filing a lawsuit against Lyft after one of the company’s drivers denied her service due to space concerns, claiming her weight would put a strain on his car.
In the video, the car dealership has several vehicles lined up with the rapper getting into an SUV before showing off a pickup truck and sitting in the front seat of a Range Rover.
“TELL AL OVER AT 24th and Lapeer THE BIGGEST DANK SENT YOU WE GOT SMALL CARS BIG CARS XL YOU NAME IT LUXURY CARS COME GET ONE 🩵🩵 SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS And APPROVALS WITH PROOF OF INCOME,” read the caption of the post.
The video has added a whole other angle to the debate Demoss stirred up with her lawsuit about size discrimination. According to Demoss, the driver locked his car doors upon seeing her and refused to pick her up.
Demoss recorded the incident and shared it on social media which drew polarizing reactions online. Many supported Demoss while others sided with the driver and cited safety concerns.
“I am taking action against Lyft not just for myself, but for my community,” Demoss said about her lawsuit against Lyft. “I want to change the world and make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. If I stand for something, I’ll fall for anything.”
Lyft has since responded to the allegations, claiming it doesn’t support any type of discrimination.
“Lyft is committed to fostering a community built on respect and inclusivity,” a spokesperson said. “We are actively reviewing this matter to ensure that all passengers receive fair treatment.”
