Zelma Stone release video for latest “Fly” –

The latest single from Zelma Stone is haunting and intense, wrapped around the vocal finger of front woman Chloe Zelma Studebaker, whose sonic and visual presence shine in the the video for “Fly.” Released ahead of their forthcoming Dreamland EP, the song is a sparkling star and a fine taste of what’s in store this spring for the San Francisco band.

Written last summer when Studebaker was visiting her grandpa Bob on hospice care in Southern California, she shares that “…’Fly’ reflects on recognizing and accepting the impermanence of life, and finding comfort in the belief that all endings lead to new beginnings.”

The captivating video (directed by Vanessa Pla) features a brief taste of the incredible, funky dance moves by Studebaker, who—alongside her sweet pup—offers something connective and soothing to her viewers, listeners. Studebaker says “…the video was a metaphor for accepting death and grief, and trusting the process to reveal truth in a new light with support from loved ones along the way.” After last year’s killer Layla EP and standout the song “Light Bulb Boy,” Zelma Stone’s latest “Fly” does not disappoint.
