Your EDM Premiere: LEFTI – D I S C O T E C A EP

You in all probability haven’t heard of LEFTI, however you’ve undoubtedly heard his music. LEFTI (Alex Suarez) was beforehand a part of Cobra Starship, the band who introduced the world the viral hit “Good Girls Go Bad” in 2009. He was with the group from the start to its disbandment in 2015, and now he’s embarking out on his personal on a brand new challenge.


LEFTI continues to push Suarez’s abilities as a bass participant, including a hefty quantity of funk and brass to the combo on his new EP, DISCOTECA. This launch finds LEFTI furthering his suave fusion of dwell and digital manufacturing referring to disco and home music. It serves because the follow-up to his debut EP, Somebody, and a collection of remixes.

LEFTI says of the discharge, “The title ‘DISCOTECA’ is impressed by my childhood recollections from spending our summers in Spain, the place my household is from. My people and their mates used to hit the discotecas recurrently and I used to see tons of present posters for them which have been so cool to me. As at all times, my music is a mix of dwell instrumentation rooted from disco, home and funky flavors, like paella!”

The EP comes out on toucan sounds, an impartial report label for indie disco and home music curated by French Horn Rebellion. LEFTI can be enjoying on the April 4th label launch party at Freehold with DJ units from Crush Club, Jpatt (of The Knocks), and French Horn Rebellion.
