Young Thug Drops New Album ‘UY Scuti’ Ahead of 2025 ComplexCon Headlining Set

A certain red supergiant star serves as the inspiration behind the title of Young Thug’s new album, UY Scuti, out now.

Much has changed since the 2023 launch of Business Is Business, Thug’s most recent studio project. At the time, the 2025 ComplexCon headliner was still more than a year away from freedom as he awaited the outcome of Georgia’s YSL RICO case. Freedom came in October, followed six months later by the release of the first official taste of UY Scuti with the Future-featuring “Money on Money.”

More recently, Thug found himself in a thoughtful and apologetic state of mind with “Miss My Dogs,” which boasted direct mentions of Drake and more. As we reported at the time, Drake is a seemingly fan of the mention, though he hasn’t elaborated beyond liking Thug’s lyrics-focused Instagram update about the track.

UY Scuti îs out now on Apple Music, etc. Fans looking for a more tangible listening experience should consult Complex Shop, where you can pick up the latest from Thug in a variety of formats including vinyl, CD, and various boxed set options. Among the latter is one featuring the What Would Brian Do tee, marking a nod to Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel.

Back in August, Steel made headlines when he called Thug a “hero” for his work in showing that “the criminal justice system is corrupt and prosecutors, at times, hide evidence.”

Young Thug’s long-awaited fourth studio album UY SCUTI drops Friday night, alongside exclusive SP5DER merch that’s now available at Complex. Fans can grab the vinyl in several alternate covers, including a special SP5DER edition, as well as four SP5DER x UY SCUTI box sets featuring the CD, a shirt, hoodie, and shorts.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
