Even if you don't mess with the Fifty Shade series, you've got to admit, those people know how to put together a mean soundtrack. These flicks gave us The Weeknd's “Earned It” and Ellie Goulding's “Love Me Like You Do,” among other dynamite pop singles.
Now, for its third and final installment, Fifty Shades aims for the younger generation with two its brightest bubbling stars, L.A.-based producer Whethan and sultry-vocalist Dua Lipa.
The two come together darkly on “High,” a haunting tune that doesn't try anything too fancy, so as not to ruin the mood. It's certainly some doin' it music, with rolling bass notes and a persistent beat.
“'High' is a song that shows my alternative electronic direction and has the amazing Dua Lipa singing on it,” Whethan is quoted in a press release. “I've been excited for people to hear this one, and I can’t wait for people to hear all my new music coming out.”
Fifty Shades Freed is out everywhere Friday, Feb. 9, just in time for your twisted Valentine's Day celebrations. Get some inspiration with “High” as your soundtrack below.
