Watch J. Cole Perform at ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ Anniversary Concert
J. Cole took center stage at Madison Square Garden in New York City for his 2014 Forest Hills Drive anniversary show, and there are plenty of highlights from the evening.
Cole kicked off show the show by performing the 2014 album’s opener, “January 28th,” before delving deeper into the project with electrifying renditions of “Fire Squad,” “G.O.M.D,” “Apparently,” “Love Yourz,” “No Role Modelz,” and more.
Cole also performed hits from other albums, including “Who Dat,” “Grown Simba,” “Work Out,” “Power Trip,” and “Planez.”
To close out the show, Cole teased the fifth and final Dreamville festival next year, and hinted that he may have new music to perform. Cole’s longtime friend and manager, Ibrahim Hamad, commented on a clip of J. Cole’s new music tease with a set of eye emojis.
Along with the sold-out concert at MSG, Cole re-released 2014 Forest Hills Drive on physical formats earlier this month. The re-release comes in two different versions, each featuring never-before-heard songs.
The first version was a “10 Year Anniversary Edition,” which includes a blue-colored version of the original cover and four new songs: “Home Soon,” “Die Together,” “Judgement Day,” and “Winter Wonderland.” The second was an “Alternate Cover” edition that included new artwork and several more bonus tracks, including “Keep Heaven Dancing,” “Miles,” “Black Man In Hollywood,” and “Obviously.”
