Tyler, the Creator’s ‘Best Interest’ Song Is an Early Holiday Surprise: Listen

Tyler, the Creator has become notorious for releasing loosies that were left on the cutting room floor during his album sessions, and his latest LP, Igor, is no different.

As a little holiday treat, the rapper shared a new track titled "Best Interest" on Monday (Dec. 23), which didn't make it to the final version of the album.

"A song that i never got to fully finish from IGOR sessions," Tyler explains in the YouTube description. "Didn't want it to sit on a hard drive. Filmed with no music, with hopes that it would sync up, a success!"

Running just over two minutes, the track's soulful piano-laden melodies would've fit in perfectly with Igor's captivating and romantic themes. In the video, Tyler is seen on a boat riding through a marsh while crooning in a high-pitched tone. He then flips to rapping at the halfway mark: "I'm the side n---a, I gotta sneak up, run and hide with ya/ I wanna see ya, give me five minutes/ Paparazzi probably got like five pictures."

Igor -- Tyler, the Creator's fifth album -- was released in May. It became his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and recently received a Grammy nomination for best rap album.
