Ty Dolla Sign Updates Fans on Ye Collab Album ‘Vultures 3’

Ty Dolla Sign has confirmed that a new Vultures album with Ye is coming out.

The singer gave a brief update on what he’s working on while out at Paris Fashion Week, revealing that it’s not just Vultures 3 coming out — but another solo project too. “Vultures 3 on the way, Bully on the way and my new album, Tycoon, on the way,” he revealed. “Let’s go.”

Ty Dolla Sign and Ye dropped the first installment of Vultures last February after a series of date changes because of setbacks. The duo originally planned to drop the sequel, Vultures 2, in March and the third installment in April.

Vultures 2 ended up coming out in August after its own delays — with one of them stemming from Ye himself who claimed that streaming was piracy. That March, clips of Ye having a conversation with the YEFANATICS fan page featured him expressing his thoughts about streaming.

“Was talking with the team about how to release the next album. Like James Blake said streaming devalues our music. We sell albums on Yeezy.com,” Kanye said. “I got 20 million Instagram followers. When five percent of my followers buy an album. That’s one million albums sold That’s 300K more than the biggest album last year.”

“We sold 1 million items on Yeezy.com on Super Bowl Sunday so we know it’s possible,” Ye continued. “How do you feel about us not streaming and only selling the album digitally.”

The road to Vultures 3 has been a long one. Most recently, Ty Dolla Sign seemingly confirmed the album’s existence in September when commenting on producer 88 Keys Instagram livestream, writing, “V3 bouta rip heads off.”

We have to wonder whether Vultures will come out before Ye releases his forthcoming LP, Bully. The rapper announced the project last September during a Vultures listening experience in Haikou, China. Since then, the project’s been teased through studio footage, rumors that he fully produced the entire project, and Ye himself sharing its cover.
