TENNIN's “TOTALLY” gets the visual treatment [Vido]
Parisian artist TENNIN shares the visual for her self-produced single "TOTALLY." The dark-pop/R&B-infused record is a reflection of the past and sees her exploring the "what if" scenarios from a hindsight perspective. TENNIN's pained emotional performance is the highlight here and blends perfectly with the minimalistic moody production. "Totally" is the lead single from TENNIN's forthcoming debut EP but she also mentioned via email that she will be dropping some more singles before the EP arrives.
For the visuals, she teams up with videographer July Space in the city of Berlin who helps bring the song to life with moody cinematic aesthetics and well-crafted storyboarding. It is all shot in black and white and follows TENNIN with an unknown individual as they walk through the busy city streets while their lives seem to slowly diverge. I like how it opts out of using performance shots and instead, we get to see TENNIN deep in thought as she contemplates what the future holds with or without her partner.
