SZA’s ‘SOS’ Tops Billboard 200 Again After Deluxe ‘Lana’ Release
SZA‘s sophomore album SOS has landed back on top of the Billboard 200 thanks to the release of the Lana deluxe edition, Billboard reports.
According to Billboard, “all versions of the album, old and new, are combined for tracking and charting purposes” and listed under the SOS title.
Lana‘s release saw 178,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending December 26 and gave SZA her eleventh nonconsecutive week at No. 1. SZA’s SOS debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 1 when it was released in December 2022 and became her first album to do so.
Billboard also reported that if Lana had been released as its own album, SZA would still have topped the 200 chart. Meanwhile, Michael Bublé’s Christmas, which earned 100,000 units, came in second place.
Kendrick Lamar is featured on Lana with the song “30 for 30,” serving as the rapper’s eighth collaboration with SZA. Phoebe Bridgers and Don Toliver also appear. As for Kendrick and SZA, both artists will be going on the road next year for the Grand National Tour, which kicks off in April and will hit various stadiums across the country and Canada.
