The holidays are the best time of year for moments of generosity, and Swae Leeis the latest star to take part in the selfless spirit of the season. The Rae Sremmurd rapper pulled up to the Crete Academy school in South Central Los Angeles on Wednesday (Dec. 18) to play Santa and spread some holiday cheer by giving out a bunch of gifts to kids in need.
Some of the presents included NFL gear from the local Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers teams. Students that showed the biggest jumps in their reading levels were also gifted brand new Xbox consoles.
“I feel blessed and humbled to be able to provide for kids in the South Central community," Lee stated. "Outreach like this is necessary and meaningful, especially around the holidays. This is just a small token of thanks and a reflection of my gratefulness honestly. Without these kids supporting me, streaming my music, watching my videos and coming to my shows I wouldn’t even have a career. I see myself in the youth. We all we got and if we don’t take care of each other, who will?"
Swae Lee continued his day of giving back by popping up as a surprise guest at TDE's charity concert in the Watts section of South Los Angeles Wednesday night (Dec. 18).
