Sick Interview: Vallyre
We had a chance to talk to Vallyre, a Billboard featured artist who just released her sick single titled “Dynamite.” Enjoy!
Please tell us more about your latest single “Dynamite’ and what it represents for you?
‘Dynamite’ is about a quiet girl who carries herself in a reserved manner. She is calm and laid- back the majority of the time but transforms when she is ready to work. Whether she is acting, singing, performing or the average worker. This song represents me as someone who is ready to work until the job is complete,
How different was your creative process for “Dynamite” in comparison with “Bloodsweat”?
The creative process was different because I wanted ‘Dynamite’ to be personal. This song tells how I switch in becoming this quiet girl into this fierce strong woman with fire in her eyes to get the job done. Whereas ‘Bloodsweat’ is about working long hours building security and stability in life.
How did growing up in Boston shape the music you create today?
Growing up in Boston shaped me to be positive, strong-minded and pursue what I want to do no matter how long it takes. Having faith and believing only gave me strength to keep moving forward and follow my dreams growing up in the inner-city.
How would you describe your music?
My music is up-tempo dance music, I want people who hear my music to get up and feel free at these unprecedented times.
Who would your dream collaboration be with?
My dream collaboration to work with as a songwriter would be Max Martin. As a recording artist Lady Gaga or Beyonce.
Are you more of a recording artist, or a live performer?
I would say both, I like to sing and dance. As a recording artist people like to see artists perform the two go hand in hand.
Are you currently working on new projects?
I’m working on a track and it talks about a relationship I was in a while ago.
