Run the Jewels Say New Album Will Drop Before 2020 Coachella Performance
With Run The Jewels' last album releasing back in 2016, fans are growing impatient when waiting on the anticipated arrival of RTJ4. El-P addressed a "stressed out" fan's frustrations on Twitter Monday (Jan. 13) by giving away that the project would drop before their Coachella performance in April.
"I do apologize for your stress," the group's co-founder wrote. "The album will be out before we play coachella and def not this month that’s all i can say now. we will announce a hard date soon."
El-P later explained that although the project is finished, it remains in the mixing and mastering process, which he has no control over. El-P and Killer Mike are set to hit the Coachella stage on April 10 and April 17 alongside acts such as Rage and the Machine, Big Sean, Calvin Harris, and Megan Thee Stallion.
