Ramaj Eroc goes for dark aesthetics on “The Omen” [Video]
After confronting disrespectful individuals a few months ago, Chi-town emcee Ramaj Eroc gets into a different bag on his new single titled "The Omen." Inspired by a live show he saw of Benny The Butcher, Eroc taps Danish producer FLINK to help him with the darkest and grimiest backdrop he could find. The dark and heartfelt record sees the rapper pouring his frustrations on wax with much venom, an impassioned flow, and profound lyrics that detail his innermost struggles as a black man trying to find his footing in this crazy world.
The music video is simple and focuses on close-up headshots of the rapper in a stairway. There are no cut scenes and it's just a single one-take clip that captures Eroc's fiery performance. The visual is shot, directed, and edited by Lauren Holloway and J. Brown-Core. The Chicago rap artist has collaborated with comedian Kevin Hart on the single "Mitches Do That", as well as fellow Chicago artist Noname titled "I Love You More".
