Quavo Tells Fans He and Offset Had ‘Good Convo’ Following Tragic Death of Rich Homie Quan

Following the tragic death of Atlanta rap icon Rich Homie Quan, Quavo says he and fellow Migos alum Offset had what he described as “a good conversation.”

Thursday, word broke that Quan, just shy of 34 years old, had died. Longtime fans and fellow artists were both quick to offer their tributes to the Georgia-born Rich as in Spirit rapper, who most recently recruited 2 Chainz for his “Ah’chi” track. Shortly after, Quavo let fans know that he and Offset had linked after the tragic news, which comes nearly two years after the shooting death of Takeoff.

“Good convo with my bro,” he said in an Instagram Stories update, adding in a praying hands emoji. Quavo soundtracked the post with his and Takeoff’s “Nothing Changed,” a song from their lone Unc & Phew album, Only Built for Infinity Links.

Earlier, Quavo looked back on earlier, simpler times in Atlanta in light of Quan’s death, made all the more daunting with the 2022 loss of Takeoff.

“May God be with us,” he wrote alongside one of the throwback photos. “Never saw this being a part of our journey.”

Though Quavo and Offset were, at one point, seemingly at odds, there have been inspiring moments of public reconciliation. Most notably, the two hit the stage together at the 2023 BET Awards to pay tribute to Takeoff with a surprise performance that included a rendition of Migos’ 2016 megahit “Bad and Boujee.”
