Premiere: TiZ EAST Connects With Mayzee On New Afroswing Cut “Asinle”

TiZ EAST is back with a new single, “Asinle”, a collaboration with Afrobeats singer Mayzee, returning the favour after TiZ EAST featured on his “Kingdom Come” single last year.

“Asinle”, which roughly translates to “we are not home”, is heavy on the Afro melodies, a sound they’re calling “Afroswing on steroids”. SV ON THE BEAT produces, tapping into TiZ’s trademark “Lagos2London” sound and the mix of Yoruba, Pidgin and English lyrics.

For the video, which you can watch exclusively on Complex today, was direceted by Romael, who captures TiZ, Mayzee and the team on the former’s stomping ground in Newham, East London.
