Playboi Carti’s ‘Baby Boi’ Is Done, According to F1lthy

Playboi Carti’s producer F1thy says that the rapper’s next album, BABY BOI is finished. But fans are unlikely to hear it anytime soon, because Carti and his team are focused on promoting his recently released I AM MUSIC project.

F1thy shared the news on X while responding to a fan speculating that BABY BOI would quietly get scrapped.

“Shit already done we still pushing I am tho,” wrote F1thy.

F1thy’s declaration aligns with what Swamp Izzo told us back in April when he claimed that BABY BOI was already complete.

When asked about the project, Izzo said that it was “Ready. Done.”

He also shared that around 50 to 60 songs have been recorded for it.

“Completed to his liking? I couldn’t say. But they’re done,” added Izzo.

“If I was still in that mixtape era, we’d have BABY BOI one through nine,” Izzo added. “Fifteen years ago, we were so heartfelt on them exclusives. We couldn’t even sleep until we put it out before everybody.”

Carti originally let the world know about BABY BOI on the same day that he released I AM MUSIC. The rapper shared a post flexing the fact that all of the album’s tracks had made it onto Apple Music’s charts and wrote, “BABY BOI OTW” over it.

I AM MUSIC came out on March 14th. The 30-track album features appearances from artists like Travis Scott, Future, Kendrick Lamar, and Young Thug. In its first week, it sold 298,000 album-equivalent units, becoming his fastest-selling LP. A deluxe version of I AM MUSIC dropped on March 25th.
