Orlando Brown Mocks Lil Wayne While Addressing Super Bowl Halftime Show Controversy: ‘Jay-Z Made the Best Decision Ever’

Orlando Brown has thoughts on the discourse surrounding Lil Wayne

The 36-year-old That’s So Raven star recently appeared on the Cam Capone News YouTube channel for an interview when the subject of the 2025 Super Bowl LIX Halftime came up.

Kendrick Lamar, 37, will hit the stage when it takes place on Feb. 9, 2025 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The decision left some hip-hop heavyweights feeling that Wayne, a New Orleans native, should’ve been the artist chosen for the prestigious performance slot.

“I don’t know, I think Jay-Z made the best decision ever,” Brown said at the 39:33 mark in the video linked above, before proceeding to do an impression of Wayne for another thirty seconds. “What the fuck is that, bro?”

“Yeah, put that shit on the stage. That’s hot,” Brown added sarcastically, before giving his take on Wayne’s “A Milli.” “If you actually go back and listen to the record, it’s like ‘What the fuck was he saying?’ He’s high on pills,” he joked.

Brown also said that Drake, 37, should’ve been the next Halftime performer, that he “won over” K.Dot despite the hype, and that there are other metrics measuring his star power.

“It’s not about the radio, bro, it’s about the elevator. The elevator music that you make, and he’s been in everybody’s elevator, bro. Even the Four Seasons. I’m at the Four Seasons like, ‘Is that Drake on the radio?’”

Conflicting reports emerged since Kendrick’s halftime announcement that Drizzy had been offered to perform at the Super Bowl twice but turned it down both times. Meanwhile a Bloomberg report claimed that NFL insiders refuted the claim, calling it a “blatant lie.”

Needless to say, the ordeal has put Lil Wayne and Jay-Z’s tumultuous relationship under a microscope.
