Offset Denies Saweetie Cheating Rumors, Says Quavo Fallout Was Over ‘Something Deeper’

As Offset tells it, Saweetie had nothing to do with past issues between him and Quavo.

For roughly five years, it’s been rumored that the “My Type” artist had an affair with Offset, which caused him to fall out with his former Migos group mate, Quavo. But on the Tuesday (October 7) episode of podcast Baby, This Is Keke Palmer, Offset denied the accusations, claiming that it was for other reasons that his relationship with Quavo was strained. The rappers have since reconciled over the past year following the 2022 murder of Takeoff, also of Migos.

Around the 40-minute mark of the video below, while Offset was discussing the themes of his new music, Palmer abruptly asked if there was truth to the rumors about him and Saweetie.

“No, man. It was a rumor, man. And I feel like it was something deeper than that for the split of me and bro,” the Kiari rapper replied.

“I don’t really want to touch on [it], but it’s something deeper than that. I think that was a thing that–a bug that I heard. I think people was trying to tear my situation down in that situation,” he continued.

After agreeing that “the industry” was potentially plotting on Offset and Quavo, he added, “We men, so we don’t play those games.”

“We don’t even know how to do that. And so it was just like–that was a weird thing, though. That was kind of crazy,” Offset said.

Over the years, Cardi, who is separated from Offset, and Saweetie have blasted trolls and podcast hosts for regurgitating the rumor. The most recent to insist that the Migos breakup was because of Saweetie is 6ix9ine, who called Offset a “rat” on podcast One Night with Steiny last month.
