Nicki Minaj Announces ‘Pink Friday 2: Gag City Reloaded’ Deluxe Album

Nicki Minaj will release new music next month.

The 41-year-old rapper announced on her Instagram account that a deluxe edition of her Pink Friday 2 album titled Gag City Reloaded will be released on Sept. 13. The announcement was accompanied by a series of candid photos and videos of Minaj with her husband Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, 46.

Minaj had been discussing the re-release of the LP on her X account. She recently gave the Barbz updates about verses she received from guest artists and said one of the tracks will “immediately go into your TOP 5 of the entire PF2 era.”

Pink Friday 2 was released last December and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Album 200 chart with 228,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. The album’s success helped Minaj become the female rapper with most number one albums on Billboard, breaking her tie with Foxy Brown, who previously held the record with her 1997 collab album with The Firm and her solo Chyna Doll album in 1999 reaching the top of the charts.

The new music will coincide with a second, newly-minted Gag City Reloaded leg of the rapper’s Pink Friday 2 Tour, which originally kicked off last March.

The revamped tour is set to begin on Sept. 4 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and visit major cities including Washington DC, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Miami before concluding in Minaj’s hometown of Queens, New York on Oct. 11.
