Meg Donnelly Strolls Through Brooklyn With Kota the Friend For Playful ‘Just Like You’ Exclusive
Meg Donnelly connected with the emerging Kota The Friend back in November for a standout single off her 2019 Trust album. Months later, the New York-bred duo returns to explore Brooklyn in the lighthearted "Just Like You" visual, which premieres with Billboard on Tuesday (Feb. 11) below.
“I wrote this song thinking about how much I used to care what people said about me," Donnelly explains of the liberating track's inspiration. "I would go out of my way to try to please everyone all of the time, but I never thought of myself. This song encompasses that feeling, which I think we all have from time to time.” The 19-year-old also credits the pair's NYC roots for being able to effortlessly connect with ease on the tender record.
Donnelly has plenty in store for 2020, as the multi-faceted entertainer is set to star as Addison in Disney's Zombies 2, which will be premiering on Valentine's Day. The "With U" singer will also embark on a North American tour in March. The 22-date trek is slated to hit Toronto, NYC, Philly, Atlanta, Boston, Orlando, and wrap up with a final show in Los Angeles on April 26.
