Luke Bryan, Ciara, Khalid, Derek Hough, Maren Morris and Brad Paisley are all set to perform at the 43rd annual Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, live from the Brooklyn Bridge on Thursday (July 4).
This year, Macy's will be celebrating American culture by featuring music from some of the country's greatest film scores. The score for the show was recorded on the west coast on the old MGM backlot where the film classics were first recorded, with film's best musicians.
Jennifer Hudson teamed up with the orchestra from Hollywood Scoring (Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Edward Scissorhands and The Lion King) for a patriotic and cinematic rendition of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." The score features classic themes from more than 10 films. It took place on one of the biggest motion picture scoring venues in the world, The Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage.
Macy's also has a couple tricks up their sleeves for the firework show. The lights will burst from the span between the large towers of the Brooklyn Bridge and feature more than 70,000 effects. Plus, five new effects: Wolf Whistle, Little Snakes, Hidden Happy Faces, Revolving Dragons and Multicolor Meteor Mines.
You can watch the show live on NBC on Thursday (July 4), 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. EST.
