Lizzo’s Trainer Shaun T Defends Her Against Ozempic Rumors, Says She Is ‘Very Fit’

Lizzo’s fitness trainer, Shaun T, wants to shut down the Ozempic rumors surrounding his client once and for all.

The celebrity fitness trainer was approached by a TMZ photographer this week who asked him about celebrities being accused of using popular weight loss drugs after shedding pounds.

“The accusations are wildly annoying,” Shaun told the outlet in the video linked here. “I think that generally people think because now something is available and popular, they’re not going to give people props. People would rather hate before they give people props.”

“I have trained Lizzo. Like, I have worked out with her, I have danced with her. Lizzo is very fit,” he emphasized. “People think, like, just because someone’s like a quote unquote plus size person there, they’re not fit.”

Shaun said Lizzo has done his infamous “Insanity” program. He also vouched for pop singer Meghan Trainor, saying she and her husband, Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara, had lost weight with his T25 program.

“That’s the first thing I’d say: so don’t automatically assume that just because a celebrity or anybody’s losing weight that they’re on Ozempic,” Shaun said. “The second thing I want to say, which is absolutely important, is for people to mind your business.”

“Because the people who are actually talking about, ‘Oh my gosh, that person’s using Ozemic,’ you’re probably not even working out. And the people who are working out, most of them are like, ‘Cool, if they are using Ozempic, I hope that they’re eating healthy,’ or something like that,” he added.

The “About Damn Time” singer revealed she hit her weight loss goal in January after sharing her workouts and fitness advice with fans on TikTok for the past year.

Last week, it was announced that the 4-time Grammy winner would take on the role of Rock ‘n’ Roll icon Rosetta Tharpe in an upcoming biopic.
