Lil Wayne Gets Back to Business with New Album ‘Tha Carter VI’

Lil Wayne has finally released his long-awaited new album, Tha Carter VI — listen to it below.

Arriving on Friday (June 6), the latest entry in Weezy’s legendary Carter series is his first in seven years, following 2018’s 2x platinum-certified Tha Carter V.

Released via Young Money/Republic Records, the 19-track LP features an array of high-profile guest stars including Big Sean, Machine Gun Kelly, 2 Chainz, Bono of U2, Kodak Black, Jelly Roll, Mannie Fresh and more.

Wayne surprised fans in April with the announcement of his new album, sharing two images of its cover art. The artwork depicts a childhood photo of Tunechi, digitally altered to include the face tattoos he has today — a trend he began with 2008’s Tha Carter III.

“June 6. We C6. The Carter Six. June 6. We C6. Ain’t a problem I can’t 6. June 6,” he captioned his post.

Tha Carter VI will be available in multiple formats — including vinyl, which you can check out below — via Complex Shop.

Tha Carter VI is being pressed on sleek 2xLP vinyl, letting you experience the full album in warm, analog quality. The pressing captures Wayne’s signature mix of bars, bravado, and boundary-pushing creativity. The packaging features vibrant artwork that makes it perfect for display or rotation on your turntable.

You can also pick up previous volumes of Tha Carter series from Complex Shop.

Lil Wayne recently announced Tha Carter VI Tour, a massive 34-date North American run in celebration of his new album.

Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on Friday (June 7) with a huge milestone for the legendary rapper: his first-ever headlining performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Wayne will be treating fans in NYC with an exclusive first taste of the new album.

The tour includes major stops in Toronto, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and more, before wrapping up on October 2, 2025 in West Palm Beach, Florida, at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre. Joining Wayne on the nationwide trek are special guests Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington, with rapper NoCap appearing on select dates.

On Sept. 22 in Oklahoma City, the tour will also feature a Hot Boys reunion for one night only.
