Lil Reese Arrested Over Alleged Assault of Ex-Girlfriend, Denied Bond
Lil Reese has been arrested after a warrant was issued for the alleged assault of his ex-girlfriend.
TMZ reports that the 31-year-old rapper was apprehended at the Houston, Texas nightclub The Address during the early hours of Monday (Sept. 30) morning. He has been booked on aggravated assault of a family or household member, according to arrest records. Specifically, the rapper is accused of strangling and punching a woman, who has been described as his former girlfriend.
Eyewitnesses said that police in Houston were present at the nightclub and placed him in handcuffs. He has been denied bond.
In a statement, his attorney Carl Moore maintained his client’s innocence. “Mr. Taylor vehemently denies these false accusations. We look forward to his day in court,” said Moore.
Earlier this month, the Houston Police Department issued an arrest warrant in connection with the alleged assault, which happened at The Pinkhouse. She claimed that he attempted to kiss her when they ran into each other, but she rejected his repeated advances. In response, he allegedly grabbed her neck and punched her. A friend witnessed the incident and asked security to intervene. Officers noted she had fingernail scratches and redness along her throat.

Reese was accused of rape earlier this year, which he also denied. In a response, he called the allegations “cap” and said the woman was seeking “clout.” He was arrested in connection with those accusations and was released after posting $100,000 bail. The charges were reportedly dismissed.
