Lecrae Says He Attended Diddy’s Parties But ‘Ain’t Never Been to a Freak Off’
Lecrae is getting candid about attending Diddy’s parties.
On a new episode of his podcast, The Deep End, the Grammy winner spoke about the Christians who “hate” him for attending Sean “Diddy” Comb’s parties, his relationship with God, and his views on abortion.
Lecrae first touched on the repercussions of appearing on the podcast, Under the Skin With Russell Brand, which prompted backlash from some Christian fans.
“[Brand] invited me on his podcast, and prior to going on his podcast, he made an announcement on his page,” Lecrae said at around the 11:40 minute mark of the video below. “I get to looking at these comments, and I was public enemy No. 1. … I think they despise me.”
“A lot of their comments were around things such as me supporting abortion, me participating in a political rally, and me being at a particular celebrity’s party,” the rapper explained.
Lecrae addressed his stance on abortions, sharing that he “forced” his girlfriend to have one years ago.
“I have since regretted that for every day of my life,” he said. “I’ve written song after song about it.”
He then discussed the backlash surrounding his attending Diddy’s parties, which Lecrae said weren’t the “freak-offs,” or alleged sex parties, that have become a central part of the disgraced mogul’s criminal trial.
“Y’all wanna talk about the parties?” Lecrae said. “Because I know people want to bring up the parties all the time. I’m the one who told you I was there. You didn’t find out from any other source. I told you that I was at a party. But it wasn’t a ‘freak-off.’ I ain’t never been to a ‘freak-off.’ I never been to any party in Hollywood ever where there was something sexual happening. Ever. Not one time.”
Diddy was recently hit with two more criminal charges ahead of his New York trial next month. In total, he’s been charged with two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and one count of racketeering. His trial is set to begin on May 5.
