Kevin Gates Asked Kai Cenat Why He Wasn’t Invited to Be a Professor at Streamer University
Kevin Gates wanted to be a part of Kai Cenat’s Streamer University.
The pair ran into each other on Monday night (June 9) at the BET Awards, which Cenat streamed live.
“Kevin Gates. How you doing?” Cenat asked the Lousiana rapper, who responded, “I’m amazing, bruh. Man, why you ain’t tell me about the university shit?”
When Cenat asked Gates if he applied, he said he wanted to be a “professor.” “Aw man,” Cenat responded.
Cenat recently hosted Streamer University at a college campus in Akron, Ohio. The bootcamp, which was streamed live, was designed to turn up-and-coming digital hustlers into career creators.
Out of over a million applicants, Cenat personally handpicked more than 150 rising stars to learn from top streamers, including Duke Dennis, DDG, India Love, Agent, cookingwithkya, ImDontai, and Ojay Suave.
In a different interaction between the two, Cenat asked Gates why he recently dissed LeBron James.
“The only game he won was the one I went to,” Gates responded. “I brought the good energy.”
In April, Gates commented on James’ wife, Savannah James, saying he doesn’t like the way James looks at LeBron compared to how “white women look at him.”
Gates’ remarks prompted a response from the NBA player.
“‘Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants,’” LeBron wrote on Instagam. James also shared a Nicki Minaj reaction clip where she says, “What? Um—chile, anyways, so.”
Gates then responded to Bron: “The truth hurts, but it heals.”
He continued, “‘Bron, I love you, ’cause you my n***a… But anyway, look, long as you being celebrated, I don’t care who don’t like me. Long as you being celebrated, that’s all I care about.”
After all that, Gates still attended a Lakers game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which the Los Angeles team won.
