Artist managers Joey Papoutsis and Peter Rugo have merged their respective rosters to form Keel, a full-service management company based in Los Angeles, Billboard can exclusively reveal. Papoutsis, formerly his own company Prospect Artists, and Rugo, formerly under ROAR, both come with an impressive array talent that spans dance, electronic and indie pop music.
The ficial Keel roster includes Louis the Child, Whethan and Ekali, all whom are performing at Coachella this year. Additional acts under the company are YehMe2 (formerly part the duo Flosstradamus), SNBRN, Win and Woo, Andrew Luce, Dr. Fresch and Always Never. Most recently, Keel clients Louis the Child and Whethan partook in helping craft the soundtrack for 50 Shades Freed -- the former collaborating with Jacob Banks and the latter with Dua Lipa.
Papoutsis says, "Excited about this new venture. We look forward to building the careers great artists. Keel strives to maintain great service and a positive company culture." Rugo adds, "After two amazing years as a manager at ROAR, I'm incredibly excited to announce the launch a new management company. While the decision to leave ROAR wasn't easy, I'm looking forward to continuing to strategically support one another including co-managing select clients together."
