Kanye Westnearly broke the Internet when he posted a photo of himself with Dr. Dre in the studio teasing that they would be working together on the Jesus Is King sequel. Over the weekend, at his latest Sunday Service in Lynwood, Calif., Yeezy credited God for linking him up with Dre.
“I used to spend all my time trying to make my beats be mixed as good as Dr. Dre,” Kanye said. "Who knew all I had to do was do an album for God and then Dr. Dre would start mixing my beats? Spend your time on God, and he’ll handle the rest."
Yeezy has long been a fan of Dre, sharing that he mimicked his "Xxplosive" drums during The College Dropout's "Last Call" and professed the West Coast king's greatness in an essay for Rolling Stone back in 2010.
West is supposedly going to release his gospel-themed Jesus Is Born Sunday Service album on Christmas Day, but it remains to be seen if he will follow through with it since he hasn't spoken on the project much at all.
