Jhené Aiko Responds to Comment Calling Big Sean Her Husband

Jhené Aiko made sure to set the record straight about her relationship with Big Sean.

In a new message shared on Sunday night after she revealed her home was destroyed amid the Los Angeles wildfires, Aiko reflected on the destruction, writing, “In gratitude always! It seems silly to mourn material things, but when those things are connected to precious memories, it is heavy. Grief is a tricky thing, but possession is an illusion. Nothing ever truly belongs to us. Things only stay the same for a limited time, always.”

Aiko then took a moment to correct a fan who seemed to think she has a husband, likely referring to Sean, 36.

“You and your husband are amazing people,” wrote a fan in the comments. “I don’t have a husband 💙,” Aiko wrote back.

Amid the catastrophic wildfires burning through Los Angeles, the 36-year-old singer revealed last week that her Southern California home had been destroyed.

“Me and my children’s home is gone, burned to the ground with all of our things inside,” Aiko wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. “Lord have mercy. Thankful we still have each other, starting from scratch. My heart is so heavy.”

Aiko and Sean first met in 2012 and have had an on-and-off relationship. Despite their ups and downs, they welcomed their son, Noah Hasani, in 2022. She also has a 16-year-old daughter, Namiko Love, with ex-boyfriend O’Ryan Browner.

During a sit-down with Charlamagne tha God for his Out of Context interview series, Sean explained why he hasn’t married the “Guidance” singer yet.

“I can only speak for myself that there needs to be, like, more work done so we could keep going,” Sean said. “There’s a lot of focus on our family, there’s a lot of focus on careers and everything, and that is something that I feel like has not been the main focus.”
