Irish alt-pop duo ELKIN make their sonic versatility known with edgy club banger, “Bodies,” and playful B-side, “Ghostin,” both uniquely their own arrangements underpinned by a lush pop soundscape. Where the former comes alive with its thought-provoking, sharp song writing about feeling powerless, the latter softens things with its light-hearted styling.

With industrial synths and atmospheric beats offset by whispered vocals, “Bodies” is an empowering exploration of club culture and the concept of touch. Accompanied by an animated music video revolving around a haunted house, the dark-pop track is given an eerie touch which elevates its powerful message.

On the flip side, the laid-back style of “Ghostin” makes use of layered, melodic vocals and gentle beats to weave a catchy bop with tongue-in-cheek lyrics that reflect on the role of social media in the world of dating and relationships.

Writing and singing together since the age of 15, Ellen and Carla have managed to develop a unique brand of pop music that blends story-led folk with fierce alt-pop. First making their presence known in 2019 with a string of hit tracks, the pair have continued their musical momentum delivering one explosive, feminist anthem after another.
