Ice Spice Releases ‘Y2K’ Deluxe With Two New Songs
Ice Spice is continuing her run by unleashing the deluxe edition of her debut studio album, Y2K!, which includes a handful of new music and guest features.
The deluxe edition of Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl was released on Christmas Day, just in time for the holiday season. Fans unpacking the deluxe will hear five new songs from the Bronx native, who enlisted NLE Choppa and DaBaby on the expanded version of her debut studio album.
The new tracks include “Hannah Montana” featuring DaBaby and NLE Choppa, “BB Belt (Remix)” with Bb trickz, “Popa (Remix)” with Anuel AA, “So What?” and “Like.” RIOTUSA handled all the production for the list of new tracks.
Earlier this month, Spice got fans excited about the album by asking them to choose which cover art she should go with before release day. Fans got to choose between a blue and pink version of the cover art created by David LaChapelle.
Spice dropped Y2K! in July, and it came with 10 tracks, clocking in at a total of 23 minutes. Travis Scott, Gunna, and Central Cee all made appearances on the project, which moved 23,000 copies in the first week of release and landed Spice at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 chart. The low numbers didn’t bother Spice too much as she looked at it as an improvement from her last project, Like..?, which sold 15,000 copies and debuted at No. 37 in the first week of sales last year.
“Like..? did 15k so thank u to everyone who supported me then & thank u to all the new supporters,” wrote the rapper. “Y2K! WORLD TOUR been so fun that these numbers are cool and all but bitch u should of seen that Boston CROWD last night.”
