Gucci Mane Scores Record 20th Top 10 On Top Rap Albums Chart

Gucci Mane scores a record 20th top 10 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart as Delusions of Grandeur debuts at No. 2 on the chart dated July 6. The set, released June 21, starts with 32,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending June 27, according to Nielsen Music.

With Delusions, Gucci Mane surpasses Tech N9ne’s career top 10 total of 19 albums. E-40 ranks third with 18 different projects that have reached the upper tier since the Top Rap Albums ranking began in 2004.

Gucci Mane claimed his first top 10 visit in 2005 with his debut studio album, Trap House. The LP, which generated the breakout single "Icy,” which peaked at No. 23 on the Hot Rap Songs chart. The Atlanta native built on his success at a consistent pace in the following years, with eight top 10s by the decade’s end. That stretch included his first No. 1 on Top Rap Albums, The State vs. Radric Davis, which arrived at the summit for the final chart week of 2009.

Beyond State, Gucci Mane has ruled Top Rap Albums on two other occasions: Everybody Looking commanded for one week in August 2016, while Mr. Davis topped the survey for a single frame in November 2017.
