Fuerza Regida Rent Out Hotel to Shelter LA Fire Victims
Fuerza Regida is looking out for victims of the Los Angeles wildfires by offering housing options for those in need.
On Saturday, Jan. 11, the band announced they had rented out a hotel with rooms for 50 families and will have more rooms available for any family that needs shelter. Members of Fuerza Regida are from San Bernadino, where one of the six wildfires broke out.
“To our beloved community affected by the Los Angeles fires: We are here for you in this challenging time. We’ve rented out a hotel with space for more than 50 families, more will become available for those in need of shelter,” Fuerza Regida wrote in a statement. “Please know that we stand with you and will continue to support throughout this difficult period. Rooms will be available at 3pm PT 01/11/24. Please reach out to [email protected] for further information. Stay safe. Much Love, Fuerza Regida.”
The band also revealed on Instagram that the hotel has been rented out for six days. Several other celebrities have stepped up to assist the victims of the wildfires.
Snoop Dogg announced that his Snoop Dogg Clothing store in Inglewood would provide free clothes for people to pick up if needed. Halle Berry recently said in an Instagram caption that she was donating her entire closet to benefit victims who need clothes. Charli XCX took a different approach and called all brands to donate care packages to the victims instead of sending them as gifts to celebrities.
“As a person in the public eye i am often being sent clothes and other things by brands wanting to gift me something,” she wrote.”This is very kind and sweet but i want to encourage brands to give to people who really truly need it. any brands reading this please donate to those who have been tragically affected by these horrific LA fires.”
