Flying Lotus Delivers New Tracks ‘Spontaneous’ & ‘Takashi’: Listen

Flying Lotus is slated to return with his first LP in nearly five years with Flamagra (May 24). First, the experimental producer gives fans another taste of what's to come on Tuesday (April 23) with a "mini-suite" of sorts, in the form of two soothing tracks titled "Spontaneous" and "Takashi."

Lotus calls on Little Dragon's Yukimi Nagano to power the intoxicating "Spontaneous" two-minute ballad. The low-energy tune seamlessly leads right into "Takashi," which was inspired by TeamLab's Takashi Kudo, who apparently played a role in reenergizing the FlyLo's creative juices.

After teaming with David Lynch for "Fire Is Coming" last week (April 17), Flamagra's loaded guest list includes the likes of Tierra Whack, Anderson .Paak, Solange, Thundercat, Denzel Curry and George Clinton throughout the 27-track effort.

Flamagra releases May 24. Stream "Takashi" and "Spontaneous" below.
