Fly Anakin pays homage to “Sean Price” [Video]

Fly Anakin is preparing to drop his new LP but in the interim, he gets into the zone with his new single "Sean Price." The mellow record is a mix of bravado and homage to the late veteran Brooklyn rapper Sean Price (of Boot Camp Click fame) and it's produced by rapper/producer Evidence. The Richmond, Virginia native is in his element over the somber sonic canvas and delivers a variety of couplets, internal rhyme schemes while paying respects to the ones who came before him.

As for the visuals, he teams up with director No Fun to bring it to life and the result is a 90s styled reel ripe with beautiful scenery in the borough of Brooklyn. It was only right to shoot it there to pay respect to Sean Price and his legacy as a hip-hop elder statesman. Fly Anakin is also joined by Sean Price's wife Bernadette who gave the track her blessings. "Sean Price" is his lead single from his forthcoming LP.

Fly Anakin is a rapper from Richmond, Virginia, who was described by Madlib as “one of the illest MCs” and has previously collaborated with Freddie Gibbs. He’s co-founder of the Richmond rap collective Mutant Academy.
