Emerging Irish act Enda Gallery offers a groovy sequel to the pop ballad “So Easy,” a track that explored the stresses and challenges that tipped his mental health. The new version, “SO EASY PT II,” sees him come together with Grammy-nominated producer duo Christian Rich for a hypnotic, electro-tinged reimagining of the original.
Finding comfort in “self-compassion and forgiveness,” and seemingly coming out of the tough circumstances in his life inspired “So Easy,” and this second foray takes the feel-good nature of the first forward. Infusing synths and pulsing beats with Gallery’s hushed vocals, the addition of Christian Rich’s ability to craft expansive yet intimate soundscapes take it to the next level.
The haunting but catchy beats of twins Kehinde and Taiwo Hassan, who form Christian Rich, fit seamlessly into Gallery’s gentle instrumentation to give us a slice of richly layered music we can lose ourselves in. The track takes the adaptability of the pair, known for their work with the likes of Drake, Childish Gambino, J.Cole, and delicately weaves it with the Irish songwriter’s soothing, genre-defying style.
With uplifting sonics that take forward the warmth encompassed in the original, “SO EASY PT II,” continues to push forward Gallery’s status as a rising star with its showcase of versatility.
