Earl Sweatshirt Returns With ‘Live Laugh Love’ Album
It’s a good day for Earl Sweatshirt fans: The rapper/producer just released Live, Laugh, Love — his first full-length solo project in over three years.
Earl announced the album nearly a week ago when he threw a listening party in Los Angeles. Complex’s Eric Skelton was among those who attended the event, where guests — including Earl’s good friend Zack Fox — were treated to Live, Laugh, Love-inspired cocktails and received copies of a zine with contributions by Steven Yeun, Vince Staples, Donald Glover, Dave Chappelle, and Earl’s partner, Aida Osman.
Although Skelton reported the party “started normally,” attendees noticed that Earl had yet to make an appearance. But as the event came to a close, DJ Black Noi$e hopped on the mic to announce “Earl’s” big entrance. A man, who was clearly not the Odd Future member, then hit the stage and proceeded to dance with the crowd.
The event was reminiscent of MF DOOM preview events, as he would often send impostors — or “DOOMposters” — to perform at the listening parties.
Live, Laugh, Love spans 11 tracks, with titles like “gsw vs sac,” “Gamma (need the <3>
