E-40 Pulls No Punches on New Single “Beating They Ass”
E-40 continues his reign as one of the most consistent rappers in the game, dropping new single “Beating They Ass” — watch the music video above.
Produced by EJ Galloway, the Bay Area legend’s latest track showcases his penchant for switching up rhyme styles, freshly blending an array of slick flexes and street wisdom.
In his opening bars, he spits: “Dual exhaust, roaring like a lion (Rah)/GI certified, flawless diamond (Luxurious)/Got my cleats on the turf like a linеman/Heavy trees just got burped, now they dryin’/Thеy ready, apparel hella saucy, style (Dripped)/Authentic designer from a town (I’m dipped)/I’ve been gamed up for a minute, for a while (Forever)/Ever since an infant, since a child (I’m clever).“
In the accompanying black-and-white music video, directed by Jae Synth, E-40 adds weight to his words as he flexes and throws punches while standing in front of a Chevy Camaro parked in a boxing gym. There’s even a cameo from MMA fighter Nate Diaz.
“I wanted to make a statement with this new release,” E-40 said in a press release for the new track. “Even at my age, I can still evolve and adjust my delivery like I’m a brand-new artist. I’m never gonna get comfortable and I’m always going to push myself to be great, so we can keep beating they ass in the rap game. And just know, this song is just the first of a few surprises that I’m cooking up for 2025.”
