Doja Cat Teases Fifth Album With Song Snippets

Doja Cat gave fans a taste of her upcoming fifth album on Instagram on Friday night (March 28).

The rapper-singer, who’s expected to drop her next LP, Vie, before the year’s end, held an Instagram Live session, where she played song snippets for her Kittenz. One track felt ’90s R&B-inspired while another sounded like a pop ballad, and, at another point during the session, Doja teased her fans by flipping through the songs.

“Should I leak this?” the Grammy winner repeatedly asked.

Doja’s next LP follows her 2023 album, Scarlet, which included singles “Paint the Town Red,” “Agora Hills” and “Demons.” This year, the Los Angeles native was featured “Born Again” with Lisa and Raye, along with “Just Us” with Jack Harlow, which dropped earlier this month.

“I’ve been wanting to do a song with Doja for four or five years,” Harlow told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “So this is an important moment to me because I think she’s super important and super talented, just a very gifted individual. I’m really happy with how much enthusiasm she put into the song.”

Earlier this year, Doja teased a Valentine’s Day release of Vie, which means “life” in French, but since the holiday has passed, we could be waiting a bit longer for the project to drop.
